This study was aimed to determine prevalence and diversity of Eimeria species in native chickens of suburban villages of Khoy municipality, Iran. A total of 130 indigenous chickens from four geographic regions were sampled using cluster sampling method from summer 2013 to summer 2014. The intensity of infection was determined on the basis of Eimeria oocyst per gram of feces (OPG) using Clayton-Lane and McMaster methods. Eimeria species diversity and prevalence were also determined by using oocyst sporulation in 2% potassium dichromate. Of all examined native chickens, 28(21.53%) chickens were infected with Eimeria species. The highest prevalence was found in north part of the region (50%) with the highest intensity (5.66×102). There was a significant association between prevalence and geographic distribution in the infected regions. Of all examined native chickens, four Eimeria species were identified, i.e. E. necatrix (20%), E. tenella (24%), E. maxima (32%) andE. acervulina (48%). Mixed infections with 2 (22%), 3 (16%) and 4 (6%) Eimeria species were also identified. The results of the current study elucidated that different Eimeria species were prevalent in native chickens of the suburban villages of Khoy municipality, which could be important in epidemiology of infection spreading to the neighboring broiler and broiler breeder farms of the region.}, keywords = {Eimeria,Feces,Khoy,Iran}, title_fa = {فراوانی آلودگی گونه های ایمریا در طیور بومی روستاهای اطراف شهرستان خوی در استان آذربایجان غربی}, abstract_fa = {آلودگی طیور بومی به گونه‌های مختلف تک یاخته ایمریا از آلودگی های متداول در دنیا و ایران است. در این مطالعه فراوانی و تنوع گونه‌ای ایمریا در طیور بومی روستاهای اطراف شهرستان خوی تعیین گردید. از 130 قطعه طیور بومی به روش نمونه‌برداری تصادفی خوشه‌ای از چهار منطقه جغرافیایی از تابستان 1392 تا تابستان 1393 نمونه‌برداری شد. شدت آلودگی در طیور بومی به اووسیست‌های ایمریا بر اساس تعداد اووسیست در گرم مدفوع با استفاده از روش شناورسازی کلیتون-لین و مک ماستر تعیین شد. تنوع گونه‌های ایمریا نیز به روش اسپرولاسیون توسط بیکرومات پتاسیم (2%) تعیین گردید. از طیور بومی تحت مطالعه، 28 قطعه طیور بومی (53/21%) آلوده به اووسیست ایمریا بودند. بیشترین فراوانی آلودگی در منطقه شمالی (50%) شهرستان خوی با بیشترین شدت آلودگی (102×66/5) بود. فراوانی آلودگی در طیور بومی با توزیع جغرافیایی آن‌ها در مناطق آلوده ارتباط معنی‌داری داشت. از طیور بومی آلوده، گونه‌های ایمریا نکاتریکس (20%)، ایمریا تنلا (24%)، ایمریا ماکسیما (32%) و ایمریا اسرولینا (48%) شناسایی شدند. آلودگی توام با دو گونه (22%)، سه گونه (16%) و چهار گونه (6%) در طیور بومی آلوده بود. نتایج این تحقیق نشان داد که گونه‌های مختلف ایمریا در طیور بومی روستاهای اطراف شهرستان خوی شایع بوده و می‌تواند در اپیدمیولوژی انتشار آلودگی به مرغداری‌های صنعتی و مادر واقع در منطقه حایز اهمیت باشد.}, keywords_fa = {طیور بومی,مدفوع,ایمریا,خوی}, url = {https://vj.areeo.ac.ir/article_107812.html}, eprint = {https://vj.areeo.ac.ir/article_107812_c5a79eb45f86cc5a9d6fa5b251b4fb56.pdf} }
