Salmonella bacteria belonging to Enterobacteriaceae family, is important in terms of biochemical and serological aspects which imposes very diverse and important losses to humans and other animals. Salmonella enteritidis is one of the three serovars which is important and dominant in most countries of the world. Spv virulence plasmids are large and closed plasmids seen only in certain Salmonella. This virulence plasmid contain genes which give rise to virulence, serum resistance, cell growth and adhesion, as well as increasing the survival capacity of the bacteria in the intestinal tissues of infected hosts. The aim of this study is to identify genes spv position of spvB, spvC and spvR of Salmonella enteritidis isolated from poultry samples. In this cross-sectional study, 55 cases of Salmonella enteritidis from chicken samples were collected from the Saveh area and cultured on the specific medium which were confirmed by biochemical tests. DNA extraction and PCR test kits was performed to detect spv plasmid genes in the samples. The results showed that out of 55 cases of Salmonella enteritidis, 18 samples (32.7%) were spvR gene and 16 samples (29.1%) were spvB gene, and the spvC gene was not detected in any of the samples. The high prevalence of bacterial virulence genes of spvR and spvB was fully associated with the role of these genes in the pathogenesis. Salmonella can cause genetic changes in plasmid transfer between different species.

The objectives of this field trial was to compare the effects of clinical endometritis treament in dairy cows with either: Ceftiofur, Cloprostenol or Theranekron in 21-33 DIM. Clinical endometritis was defined as the presence of purulent/muco-purulent discharge and/or cervical diameter >7.5 cm and PMN concentration ≥18% in cytological samples. Eighty cows with clinical endometritis were assigned randomly into 4 groups. Group 1 cows received 3 consecutive doses of Ceftiofur (1 mg/kg IM; Excenel), in 3 days. Group 2 animals received 2 doses of Cloprostenol on days 1 and 14. Group 3 cows received two SC injections of Theranekron (10 mg/Cow) on days 1 and 10. Group 4 received no treatment. Inflammatory cells were collected by cytobrush. In order to dignose cows suffering from clinical endometritis, first cytobrush sample was taken before starting protocols and PMN cells were collecte, the second sample was taken 3 days after the last injection. All treatment protocols caused a favorable response, although response to Theranekron was more prominent than Ceftiofur (p<0.05). A decrease in PMN% was shown in group 2 and 3 in the samples (p<0.05), but not in group 1 animals (p>0.05). A decrease in the diameter of external os was found in all groups even in the control cows but it was more preminent in Teranekron group (p<0.05). Theranekron, caused improvements in clinical and cytological sings of endometritis (p<0.05). In conclusion in this study, systemic treatment of postpartum endometritis in cattle with Theranekron and PGF2α was effective to reduce inflammation.

Fish disease is the major risk factor in commercial aquaculture with millions of dollars lost annually. Among them, Aeromonas hydrophila as dominant infectious agent in bacterial septicemia in freshwater fish especially Cyprinidae family has been known. A. hydrophila has been associated with tail and fin rot, haemorrhagic septicaemia and epizootic ulcerative syndrome (EUS).In this study 213 isolates were obtained from 200 pieces of patient cultured carp (126 common carp,39 silver carp and 35 grass carp) from Khuzestan province farms with biochemical and molecular tests were investigated. 16srRNA gene was used for Aeromonas sp. Detection and 16srRNA lipase genes was used for Aeromonas hydrophila detection. The result shown 73% of Aeromonas sp. and 52% of Aeromonas hydrophila which were detected by biochemical method were conformed by PCR assay. Also result of this study was shown, the PCR assay compared with biochemical methods, is a rapid and sensitive method for Aeromonas hydrophila detection and has a high sensitivity.

Stomach and duodenal ulcers are created for various reasons. Turmeric spice is one of the Iranian’s favorite spices and this spice used in traditional medicine. The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of Curcuma longa extract on gastric injury induced by gastrotomy in rats. In this study 60 Wistar rats were used with an average weight of 250-300 grams. The rats were divided randomly into 4 groups of 15 numbers and all the animals were gastrotomy. Then the first group was gavaged with omeprazole 40 mg/kg for 21 days, the second group was gavaged curcuma longa extract to 100 mg/kg for 21 days, the third group was gavaged omeprazole and Curcuma longa extract and the fourth group was gavaged water for 21 days. For histopathological evaluation at days 7, 14 and 21 after surgery 5 rats from each group were selected from which tissue samples were taken and stained with hematoxylin-eosin method. The results of the histopathological studies showed that rat treated with Curcuma longa extract and omeprazole had significantly (P<0/05) better healing process than the other groups. Based on the results, it seems that Curcuma longa extract has favorable effects on the healing process in rat’s gastrotomy.

Pseudomonas aeruginosa is an important opportunistic pathogen that causes subclinical mastitis resistant to treatment, in lactating dairy cows. The Purpose of this study, were to identify class I integrons and determining antibiotic susceptibility of Pseudomonas aeruginosa isolated from mastitis. In this cross-sectional study, 150 samples of raw milk were collected from different farms, transported to the laboratory and cultured on specific media. Antimicrobial susceptibility test conducted by disk diffusion method and MIC (Minimum Inhibitory Concentration) determination test performed by E-test in accordance with CLSI guidelines, in various groups. To identify Class I integron gene PCR test were used. Of total number 150 milk samples, 51 samples (34%) were contaminated with Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Antibiotic test results showed that the highest rate of resistance were observed to Ampicillin, Tetracycline and Kanamycin at the rate of 100%, 94.2% and 94.2%, respectively. Most multiple resistances were observed against Kanamycin, Ampicillin and Tetracycline antibiotics. MIC results showed that isolated bacteria were sensitive to Gentamicin in concentration 0.75-2 μg, Ciprofloxacin at 0.094-0.38 μg and Amikacin at 0.05-4 μg. Results molecular tset showed, one isolate (1.96%) were carried Integrons gene (int-1). Since most integrons genes coding enzymes that inactive antibiotics, presence of Integrons genes in samples of raw milk, treatment infections caused by Pseudomonas aeruginosa wich carring these genes, because of the lack of new antibiotics that have a broad therapeutic range, would creat the major problems.

Canine babesiosis is an important disease caused by Babesia spp. and is of healthy importance and cosmopolitan distribution. This disease was initially considered as a tropical and subtropical disease. Recently, increasing occurrence of canine babesiosis has also been detected on temperate areas of the world. The aim of present study was survey on frequency of canine babesiosis in dogs from Tabriz and suburb. A total of 121 blood samples were randomly taken from dogs. Babesia Infection was survived with microscopic examination of thin layer smears from peripheral blood and amplification of 416 bp fragment of 18S rDNA using molecular method. Out of 22(18.2%) and 8(6.6%) of 121 blood samples were positive for Babesia in all study areas in molecular and microscopic survey, respectively. Commercial (28.6%), male (19.2%) and 2> years old (21.1%) dogs had the highest infection rates. No significant differences were found between geographic distribution of infection and obtained data. In this study, it was indicated that molecular detection of canine babesiosis is of more efficiency than microscopic method and further supplemental surveys is suggested.

The main goal of tissue engineering design and create a structure similar to the natural structure of a tissue in vivo for repair tissue damages. Tissue transplantation, there are always problems, including a shortage of suitable tissue and immunological rejection of grafted tissue is in tissue engineering is one of the newest methods to reduce the immune response to transplanted tissue, is tissue decellularization methods (Acellular). After fixation and routine tissue process, to evaluate the structure of tissue H&E stained, collagen quality assessment xenograft Picrosirius red stained , review and tracking the decellularization, detected nuclei trace and any DNA remaining 4', 6'diamino-2-phenylindole-2HCl (DAPI) staining was used. Assess tissue strength by biomechanical test was performed. Biomechanical results by Student t-Test and Mann-Whithney (P≤0.05)was performed with SPSS software. Compared with ostrich tendonsand matrix three-dimensional structure after the process of decellularization, the tissue density is somewhat reduced cohesion between collagen fibers were observed in some places a few miles away. Quality collagen stained by Picrosirius red that there is no difference between them. In assessing the amount of de-cells after staining DAPI 99% of the three-dimensional scaffold and remains free of nuclear DNA. Biomechanical testing of Stress, there was no difference in graft tissue but strain showed a significant decrease. Evaluation of properties of three-dimensional tissue structure made of scaffolding and comparison with ostrich tendons found this graft is the appropriate for graft.

Despite the long-run anti bovine tuberculosis (BTb) scheme in Iran, BTb remains a major problem in the national cattle farming that causes substantial economical loss. In this search (2006-2009), isolation of Mycobacterium bovis, the causative agent of BTb,from tuberculin positive (reactor) cattle slaughtered in Isfahan has been addressed. Mesenteric and mediastinal lymph nodes along with pathological specimens(if present) from 143 cattle were cultured on Lownstein-Jenson (LJ) slopes. The 28 isolates representing mycobacterial growth characteristics eg. Acid fastness in microscopy, were subjected to a standard biochemical algorythm comprising preferential growth on pyruvate LJ medium, catalase, niacin, nitrate reductase, tiophen carboxylic hydrazide acid (TCH) and production of cord factor tests. Consequently, all the 28 isolates were identified as M. bovis. These isolates originated from 8 farms in different regions of Isfahan province with 15 of them coming from a single herd in Baharestan followed by two more farms with 4 isolates from each. The remaining 5 single isolates were collected from 5 herds in Dolatabad, Najafabad, Tiran, Golshar and Ghaleh Shour regions. Isolation of M. bovis as the single mycobacterial causative pathogen in the recator cattles of Isfahan is another confirmatory observation that no other member of Mycobacterium tuberculosis complex plays a role, if any, in epidemiology of BTb in Isfahan as is the case with rest of Iran. In three out of the 8 farms studied here, there were 4 or more M. bovis isolates collected from every herd an indication of BTb epidemics in these herds. Whether single strain or multiples strains of M. bovis have been involved in the disease outbreaks in these farms, furher molecular epidemiology work is required.

Pancreas is important due to exocrine and endocrine digestive secretions of mammals and poultry. In this regard, no comprehensive study has been conducted to special study for anatomical and histological comparison of this organ in both male and female ostriches. So, pancreas was studied anatomically and histologically in adult ostrich. For this study, 24 pancreases of adults ostriches were selected in slaughterhouses of Semnan province, Iran, and were studied anatomically. Then, tissue samples were obtained. The Samples were stained with Haematoxylin and Eosin Stain Kit. The histologic findings are largely similar to that of other poultry. In endocrine region of pancreas only 2 types of cells were recognizable; A or α cells which were small and acidophilic form, and B or β cells which were large and basophilic form. Accordingly, anatomical findings were found in other birds too, with the exception that the spleen lobe was observed as dwindled and too small. Also, the pancreatic exocrine secretions enters into the initial part of duodenum through a single duct. Ostrich's pancreas in both males and females are similar in size and structure. The result of T student in pancreas suggest that there is significant difference in the size of male and females in this organ.

Study of bloodand serum parameters is considered as a method for evaluating of physiological state of animals including fishes. Hematological properties of different species of fish can be used as an important indicator for ichthyology. The aim of this study was evaluation of some blood and serum parameters of golden gray mullet (Liza aurata) in Caspian Sea. Bloodparameters including the number of red blood cells (RBC), number of white blood cell (WBC), hemoglobin (Hb), hematocrit (Hct), mean corpuscular volume (MCV), mean corpuscular hemoglobin (MCH), mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration (MCHC), and serum parameters including total protein (TP), glucose (GL), cholestrol (CHOL), alkaline phosphatase(ALP), aspartate aminotransferase (AST), and Alanin aminotransferase (ALT) were measured. The results of this study showed no significant effect of height and weight of the studied fishes on blood and serum parameters. Therefore, there were no significant differences between blood and serum parameters of the golden gray mullet in two studied weights.Blood and serum parameters can displayevident sign of physiological or pathological status in fishes and desirable or undesirable environmental conditions, so regular monitoring of blood and serum parameters can provide valuable information.

Oncorhynchus mykiss is one of the most important species among all fish which are consumed in most countries. Applying antibiotics to control diseases in this species has side effects which necessitates researches to find other approachs. Therefore effects of Plantago ovata extract (POE) on Oncorhynchus mykiss immunity system was investigated as another alternative. 360 juvenile Oncorhynchus mykiss fishes with the average weight 30±5.23gr divide in to four treatments. Each treatment feed with POE with 0 (control group), 0.1, 0.5 and 1 percentage for 60 days. At the end of treatment blood samples were taken from 6 fish in each replicate and immunological parameters were compared among the groups. The results show that the immunological parameters including Lysozyme activity, total serum protein and globulin were affected significantly at doses 0.5 and 1 percent (p<0.05) while serum bactericidal activity and albumin was not affected (P>0.05). All and all it could be deduced that extract could affect immunological parameters and increasing it, hence addition of this extract to daily diet of Oncorhynchus mykiss could enhance immunity system.

Tawny Eagle (Aquila rapax) is one of the Iranian eagle that its habitat limited to southeast of Iran. The bird has brown color and its size varies between 65 to 79 cm. Mostly feeds from small mammals, reptiles and frogs and be found in steppe and dry plains. Since they have a free-live, infectious diseases in them is rare. The aim of this paper is to report of radiological funding in osteomyelitis in foot of tawny eagle. In the spring of 2015, an tawny eagle with deep and chronic wounds in the left foot was refer to veterinary clinics of Shahrekord University. In first, X-ray in lateral and dorsopalmar was prepared. In lateral views, separating the first finger (Hallux) with soft tissue swelling around the tarsometatarsal-phalangeal joint was clearly visible. Also the symptoms of the reconstructive tissue and new bone formation or bone lysis was not seen in this view. In dorsopalmar radiograph, palisaide like periosteum reaction around the distal area of tarsometatarsal and with more intensity on the medial surface of this bone was found. Based on the history of the bird and the presence of deep and chronic sore in the plantar surface and according to the form and severity of radiographic signs complications was detected as active osteomyelitis.

Bacterial septicemia is a bacterial fish disease that occurs as primary or secondary infection. Also the contamination to ciliate parasites such as Hexamita and to worms such as capillariaisis an important finding in aquarium fishes, which can weaken the fish and make them susceptibleto bacterial septicemia. The purpose of this study was diagnosis and identification of causes of death in an angelfish stock.A total of 10 fish samples (male and female, mean weight of 5±1 g) were transported live to the laboratory. For disease diagnosis, the routine investigation methods were done and for identification of isolated bacteria we used biochemical and molecular tests. At necropsy findings observed with the naked eye, had ascites and visceral congestion. In bacterial cultures of infected fish kidney, Aeromonas hydrophilainfection was detected and the bacterium was definitely identified by biochemical and PCR methods. In examination of intestine, severe infection to flagellate protozoa Hexamita sp. and Capillaria sp. infection in the intestinal lumen were also observed in all samples.According to this study, it was determined that bacterial septicemia by Aeromonas hydrophilawith heavy infestation with Capilaria and Hexamitacan be introduce as causes of the death of the angelfish.Key words: Razi Vaccine and Serum Research Institute, Web of Science, Articles, Impact factor, Immediacy index, Scientometrics.
